PhotoDry reforming of methane (DRM) has been widely studied as a GHG reduction technology. However, this process requires high temperature and induces severe coking, which causes catalytic deactivation. A previous study revealed that microwave-assisted La-Ce-Ni catalyst has high catalytic activity but elucidating specific reaction mechanisms is still needed for further energy reduction and catalyst durability. This research focuses on developing a microwave-assisted DRM system through Raman spectroscopy, XAFS analysis, and electron microscopy on La-Ce-Ni catalysts.
